Rain and childhood

"Our childhood is what we spend the rest of our lives overcoming."

I do strongly feel that there is close relationship between our childhood and rain.
Remember the days when we rain used to be fun for us. It was heavenly to play football in school during rainy days, no matter what the next lecture was. We would wait for the monsoon and relish getting wet in the rain knowing we were due for scolding from our parents or catch cold. Now that there is no one to scold us, we are afraid of getting wet. Sometimes rain used to be our best excuse for not wanting to go to school ;) but now no matter how many cats and dogs are raining, we need to reach office by 10. Its 9 pm and am waiting for the rain to stop so that I can go home.

Don't know what changed us. The paper boats, which were abundantly made from old newspaper and floated in the water, are gone now. Can't find even one in my neighborhood. Were we different or the tastes of this generation changed completely.

Make me wonder rain has been same throughout but we are changing with time.
